YES! We are wild lovers of travel, and will follow you to the ends of the earth if we can! Please contact us for an accurate quote.
We accept payments via EFT (bank transfer) or credit card.
We’re adventurous “rain, hail or shine” kinda people, and we know that you are too – we believe that fun, joy, and happiness will shine through ALL weather! We think gumboots are perfect wedding attire, we have a set of clear umbrellas for our weddings to use for free, and we’d love to run wild with you through the wind. That’s why we don’t reschedule our weddings due to weather unless it is torrential, or unsafe for our clients and guests.
If conditions are still safe, but you choose not to go ahead, there will be a $350 postponement fee incurred.
That being said, most of our pre-arranged packages are outdoors, so it’s highly advised that all clients have a wet weather plan of their own. We’re very happy to give you lots of ideas around your chosen location, to make sure your mind is at ease!
When you book a Bite Size wedding, there is a non-refundable reservation fee of 40% of the package price. If you need to postpone your wedding, and we are available on your new date, it may be possible for us to rebook together. If we are not available for your new date, or you cancel your wedding altogether, your reservation fee will be forfeited.
On top of our celebrant and photographer, we can provide you with witnesses, flowers, small cakes and desserts, champagne glasses, and permits if needed and available, all at additional cost. But because you’re a chilled out, low-maintenance bunch, we DON’T provide:
- additional planning services (including but not limited to venue bookings, decorations, styling, transport, etc)
- ceremony rehearsals
- wet weather arrangements
- free witnesses – bring two of your own or add them on to your package
- alcohol
- weather shelters
- chairs
- additional food or beverages
A Bite Size wedding combines the absolute best bits of your dream wedding – great location, beautiful ceremony, amazing photographs, and legally marrying the love of your life – and skips all the rest! A Bite Size wedding takes all the stress of a conventional big wedding, and throws them to the wind.
No organisational nightmares.
No scouring the internet for the best of the best – we’ve done it all for you.
No fussy, unimportant details.
No trying to find a weekend date a year in the future that works for everyone – we love weekdays, baby!
No juggling RSVPs and plus ones.
Just you, your nearest and dearest, your finest threads, and your beloved.
We’ve picked all the most delectable spots, and the most tasty extras, so that you don’t have to do a thing.
A Bite Size wedding is the ultimate relaxed, boutique experience that you won’t get anywhere else.
By Australian law, you must register your Notice of Intended Marriage at least one calendar month before your wedding can take place. So we recommend getting in touch as soon as you’re gathering together your details and considering submitting the Notice.
However, we’re always happy to answer last-minute enquiries, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if your scheduled date is closer!
Once you have had the best day ever and tied the knot (hooray!), your celebrant will register your marriage with Births, Deaths and Marriages within 24 hours. And that’s it – you’re officially married!
Your official wedding certificate is included in every package, so that you can relax completely and focus on your wedded bliss.
You’ll receive your beautiful photographic collection emailed to you, ready to share and download.
And then – happily ever after!
Your beautiful photographic collection is delivered in high-resolution files, perfect for printing, and we’d LOVE for you to get them up on your walls or in an album, so they don’t languish in the cloud forever! You’ll receive our recommendations for awesome archival printing, as well as a discount code through our preferred printer, so that you can choose exactly what you want, how you want it.
You’ll also receive ongoing print and image storage support for 12 months after your wedding – we’re here for you anytime.
Will you keep my information private?
We hold your information securely and safely. Your information will never be shared or sold without your permission, in accordance with Australian law and our Privacy Policy.
We understand that this is the best day of your lives, and you want control over your own wedding collection – that’s how it should be. We would love to share your images on our social media and our website, to show off your glorious day, but if you’d like to keep them private, we fully believe you have that right. You can opt out of sharing your images at any time, with our full respect.
Bite Size weddings are a perfect package deal – but if you’re only in need of one or the other, you can find Melissa at www.marriagecelebrantonline.com, and Prue at www.pruevickery.com.au
ALL THE LEGAL MUMBO-JUMBO EXPLAINED
BEFORE YOU MARRY.
Before you can marry, you will need to officially give one month’s notice, by using the legal Notice of Intended Marriage form, which must be signed in front an authorised witness. In Australia, this form is usually signed before a Justice of the Peace or Police Officer. If you are located overseas, this can be signed at the Australian consulate/embassy or Public Notary. Once the form is complete, you will need to scan and email the form to our team no later than one month before the wedding takes place for checking and uploading to Births, Deaths and Marriages. If for example, you would like to marry on the 29th April, it must be completed, signed and received by email or by post no later than 29th March.
FORMAL IDENTIFICATION.
Before the wedding ceremony begins, you will also need to be identified formally. You may scan and email documents ahead of your wedding day, or you may choose to bring the original birth certificates or passports on your wedding day. If you choose to present a birth certificate, another form of photo ID, such as a driver’s licence (or another form of formal photo ID) is required.
EVIDENCE OF SINGLE STATUS.
If either of you have been married before, evidence of your single status with either a divorce certificate (if divorced) or a full death certificate (if widowed). Certificates in a language other than English must be translated into English using the government approved translator service, NAATI – www.naati.com.au
All forms must be completed, and all identification and evidence of single status must be satisfied before the marriage can go ahead. Should you forget to bring your official documents on the day, unfortunately we will not be legally able to proceed with the wedding.
ON THE WEDDING DAY.
On the big day, you will need to provide two witnesses to sign your marriage certificates. Witnesses can be anyone over the age of 18 that can understand the English language. If English is not their native language, then a translator must be present. If you are unable to provide 2 witnesses, they can be arranged for you for an additional fee. You must also bring your formal identification if not provided beforehand, as well as any evidence of single status needed.
AFTER THE CEREMONY.
Once your wedding has taken place, your marriage will be registered by your celebrant online as soon as possible (usually the same day) and you will be notified a confirmation by email.
If you are from overseas, you may also need to get an apostille stamp on the back of the certificate before you return home. This is something you should check with the relevant authorities, to make sure that your Australian marriage is recognised when you return home.
